Will it fit? This is a question many of us ask before we commit to buying or ordering something new. It’s no different when buying an electric wheelchair. You want to ensure that your new mobility device fits you and the environment you will be traversing. We’ll review the benefits of a portable folding electric wheelchair and how it can fit into your lifestyle.
Size
Many mobility devices can range in size, from a three-wheel scooter with a small footprint to a full-sized power wheelchair with six wheels on the ground. With a folding wheelchair, you can get the best of both worlds. You can have the stability and intuitive driving of a power chair with the convenience of a space-saving folding chair like the , which features the ability to fold in a few steps while having a turning radius of 24.25” and weighing only 53lbs.
Portability
Travel can be quite complicated when it comes to transporting mobility devices. Often, airlines request the composition and make of the batteries in your power chair. You can obtain this information by contacting a Pride Mobility Products customer support rep via phone 800-800-8586 or email at info@pridemobility.com. Using your serial number, our representatives can verify and send you material information that you can present to the airline company.
Convenience
Compact size and portability doesn’t necessarily mean sacrificing convenience. Many features arebuilt into folding power wheelchairs like the Jazzy Passport. There are two storage areas, a back-seat pocket and an under seat storage container. There is also a mesh cup holder so that you can stay hydrated while on the go!

I am looking for an automatic folding wheelchair – one that folds via a remote key fob. I found Pride I-GO Fold- Auto Folding Powerchair on the Pride website for the UK, but this website says it does not exist. Is it possible to get the Pride I-GO Fold- Auto Folding Powerchair in the U.S.A.?
Purchased a D3-C Power Wheelchair (Pride Hubang) and it arrived July 25 of 2021. Three days later while using it the chair started backing up for no reason with my wife seated in it. Power on, no force on joystick, and I was not able to over-ride with the joystick. Had to turn power off at the hand control. This has only happened when on higher power modes (2 lights or 3 lights), but I am afraid it will do it again. No electrical connections appear to be loose. I will dispute charges if not resolved quickly.
Hi James, we’ve sent your message and info to our customer support team who will be reaching out to you. Thank you for contacting us and we look forward to being able to resolve this for you.
