In May, I really wanted to test out the durability of the Baja Wrangler 2 outdoor mobility scooter by taking it to a nearby state park to ride some trails.

Because I don’t drive, and because it’s such a large vehicle, my parents need to help load it into my minivan, but it does fit in a Toyota Sienna using ATV ramps. I plan on making a tutorial about how it’s loaded and unloaded, which is fairly easy. Both of my parents are 65 years old so they’re able to get it in and out. The heaviest part is the seat that they take off. You could also tow it in a small trailer with a basic sedan.
Staunton State Park is one of the more accessible parks in Colorado, and it’s only about 25 miles away from Denver, so it’s not a crazy difficult mountain hike. They have a track chair program where they rent out track chairs and guide you along different trails. The trails themselves are very well-maintained, and they make it a priority to keep the trails accessible for the track chair. However, the Baja Wrangler 2 easily navigated the Davis Pond Trail. They allow on-leash fogs, which is always a plus!
The ride is a little bit rough due to the tight suspension, so if you have a hard time holding on or steering you might consider a track chair because that uses a joystick to propel itself. The Wrangler 2 uses a squeeze accelerator that’s at the bottom of the tiller, so it’s a little bit cumbersome to navigate if you don’t have a lot of dexterity in your hands and arms.
The weather was great, and we had an excellent day out on the trail! I didn’t run into any problems with accessibility, and I was able to go off-roading a little bit.
I think the best application for the Baja Wrangler 2 mobility scooter is for people who want to use it on a farm or in the woods or on a large property that they want to maintain. It is a little bit difficult to transport it frequently, but it would be really useful for someone wanting to do chores around their property. It also has a little hitch you can attach a wagon to if you want to drive around a country type area or are using it on a job site.
