What is an Outdoor mobility scooter?
An outdoor mobility scooter is a robust mobility scooter with a long-lasting battery and a bulked up suspension. They are much better suited for a ranch or graded forest trail than your kitchen or community center.
An outdoor mobility scooter is designed to motor over roots, rocks or any other obstacle that clutters your path.
Outdoor mobility scooters are not medical devices like our other mobility scooters. FDA Class II Medical Devices include mobility scooters that are primarily used around the house to assist with daily activities. Medicare and private insurance often cover some or all of the medical device if certain standards are met. You can learn more about Medicare coverage of mobility scooters here.
While an outdoor mobility scooter isn’t covered by insurance, you may need one to maintain your lifestyle. Unfortunately, the barn isn’t going to move closer to the house. Get there quicker on a scooter that can handle the terrain changes from grass to gravel to concrete at a top speed of 11.4 mph.
The Baja Wrangler 2 is the first model in the new Baja Mobility outdoor lineup. It’s the outdoor mobility scooter you need to get those evening chores done. You might even have time to watch the sunset from the porch for the first time in a while.
Meet the Baja Wrangler 2
The Baja Wrangler is a work-hard and play-hard kind of vehicle. It’s right there with you mending fences or bouncing over downed limbs. With more than 22 miles of battery life per charge, the job may be done before your scooter needs a break.
The Baja Wrangler 2 delivers a smooth ride from the ground up. It has bulky 14.5-inch never flat tires and 5 inches of clearance. The industry-leading CTS suspension smooths out rough roads and the steering stabilizer keeps you in control.
A heavy-duty seat post holds up the comfortable pillow-top seat. You can fully adjust the seat and backrest. The customization continues to the tiller. Using the simple adjustments, you can create the perfect ergonomic position. With the armrests, seat and tiller positioned just right, you’ll feel comfortable all day long.
The hand control is easy to use and responsive. With throttle controls on the left and right side, you can operate the scooter with your stronger hand. The console is also equipped with an onboard USB charger for your cell phone.
The LED headlights, rear LED backup lights, turn signals and hazard lights allow you to safely travel at night, whether that’s around your property or out on the town.
Once you’ve experienced everything you can within the 20-miles of home, use the easily accessible tie-down points to secure your Baja Wrangler 2 in the bed of your truck and hit the open road.
