After 47 years of being a tool and die maker, Gary R. admits it’s hard to explain his former career to others. His work in the manufacturing industry ranged from producing containers or closures, to cell phone parts or deodorant bottles.

“It’s hard to describe the impact I have had on people’s lives from behind the scenes,” Gary said. “So, when asked what I did I just reply, ‘I took an engineer’s fantasy and turned it into reality.’” After many years of hard work, Gary is enjoying his retirement. Originally from Illinois, he now resides near Orlando, Florida. Gary has limited mobility due to drop foot and cruises around in his Go Go Elite Traveller®. His wife of 43 years also uses a Go Go Elite Traveller, and together they’re unstoppable!
“Taking our grandkids to Disney is so much easier with our Go Go scooters,” Gary said. “Plus, powering past slow pokes and groups walking 6 or 8 across is no problem.” Gary loves the convenience and portability of his Go Go. He can easily fit both scooters in the trunks of their 2007 Honda Accord and 2014 Toyota Rav 4. “I can put both of our Go Go scooters in either vehicle with no problems,” Gary said. “No need for a trailer.”
Gary keeps busy with hobbies such as building model trains, making wine and traveling. He and his wife travel up north to visit their children and grandchildren, though only when it’s not snowing! Gary is proud of his three daughters and loves to spoil his three grandchildren. The family often takes trips together. In addition to Disney World, Gary and his family have visited the Botanical Gardens, zoos, museums and national parks. “Our Go Go scooters allow us to take our grandkids out and give them a full day of activity and running around,” Gary said.
