PRIDE MOBILITY GRANTED PATENT RELATING TO POWER SEAT ELEVATION TECHNOLOGY

EXETER, PA – June 1, 2016 – Pride Mobility Products® Corporation announces that it has been granted United States Patent No. 9,351,889 “Elevated Height Wheelchair,” relating to such products as its Quantum iLevel®, Jazzy Air®, and corresponding power seat elevation technologies.

Specifically, the patent addresses safer performance of a power elevating seating system in conjunction with power base operation.

“The patented technology facilitates safer use of a power elevating seating system,” said Jim Mulhern, Vice President of R&D Product Innovation, and named on the patent. “We sought to ensure that the system’s engagement, which dictates performance, would do so in the safest manner possible by only engaging under appropriate conditions.”

The result is that iLevel and corresponding power seat elevation technologies allow safer operation while optimizing performance.

“With an emphasis on consumer-inspired design, we’re pleased that this now-patented technology is truly enhancing the independence and quality of life of consumers,” added Chairman and CEO, Scott Meuser.

PRIDE MOBILITY’S NEW JAZZY AIR® POWER CHAIR FEATURES BOTH MEDICAL AND SOCIAL MOBILITY

EXETER, PA – February 24, 2016 – Pride Mobility Products® Corporation announces the debut of the Jazzy Air®, an innovation in consumer power chair technology that incorporates medical benefits without limiting users’ social experience.

The Jazzy Air is an industry-first in retail power chair products, featuring patent-pending technology that allows 10” of seat elevation, at driving speeds up to 3.5 MPH. With power base stabilization for enhanced safety, the Jazzy Air elevates environmental access and social interaction at the equivalent of standing height.

“For users, the Jazzy Air allows not just wheelchair height based on medical need, but use while elevated, not limiting social experience,” explains Randy Walsh, Vice President of Jazzy and Retail Mobility Sales. “During market research and beta testing, users expressed tremendous satisfaction and demand for the Jazzy Air. They noted that due to the unique elevation technology, it feels less like a mobility device and more like an inclusive tool to achieve the lifestyle functionality and social experience that they wish.”

The Jazzy Air has a non-elevated top speed of 4.1 mph, Active-Trac® suspension, integrated LED lighting and ultra-comfort seating, all in a compact 19” turning radius. With sleek styling and a choice of colors, the Jazzy Air gets consumers where they wish to go in refined style.

“We believe the Jazzy Air is a unique new mobility product that will not only delight consumers but offer a powerful new retailing opportunity to Pride providers,” stated CEO Scott Meuser. “Given the recent Medicare cuts, our providers need exciting new retail products now more than ever.”

The Jazzy Air debuts at Medtrade Spring, in Las Vegas, March 1-2, in Pride Mobility’s booth #130. For more information on the Jazzy Air, please visit pridemobility.com.
